COURSE DETAILS

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who have a defined and limited range of hospitality operational skills and basic industry knowledge. They are involved in mainly routine and repetitive tasks and work under direct supervision.

This qualification provides a pathway to work in various hospitality settings, such as restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops.

COURSE DELIVERY

This course is delivered face-to-face and includes a blend of theory and practical assessments.

Cohort - Vocational Education and Training in Schools (VETiS)

Face-to-face training is delivered one day per week (2.5 hours per day) for 4 school terms, this program also includes two days excursion as part of the project.

It is suggested that students do 12 hours of independent study per week (over 12 months).

Cohort - Lower Level Mainstream

Face-to-face training is delivered two days per week (5.5 hours per day) for 8 weeks.

It is suggested that students do 20 hours of independent study per week plus an additional 1 day per week of LLN support if required (over 6 months).

COURSE FEES & FUNDING

Full course fees are determined through our Schedule of Fees.

We currently offer this course for a fee of $3,240.

This course is also offered under Vocational Education and Training in Schools (VETiS) - funded by the Queensland Government - for high school students who are in year 10, 11 or 12. EMPLOYMENT PATHWAYS

Certificate II in Hospitality (SIT20316) is an entry level course into the hospitality industry.

Employment pathways from this qualification can include Bar Attendant, Cafe Attendant, Waiter or Food Services Assistant.
