COURSE DETAILS

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who participate in a range of routine and predictable hospitality work activities. They work under close supervision and are given clear directions to complete tasks.

This qualification provides a pathway to work in various hospitality settings, such as restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops.

COURSE DELIVERY

This course is delivered face-to-face.

Cohort - Work Skills Traineeship

Face-to-face training is delivered one day per fortnight (2.5 hours per day) for 6 months. The training is conducted at the students workplace.

It is suggested that students do 10 hours of independent study per week (over 6 months).

COURSE LOCATION

Cairns and surrounding regions.

Courses are subject to availability.

COURSE FEES

Full course fees are determined through our Schedule of Fees.

EMPLOYMENT PATHWAYS

Certificate I in Hospitality (SIT10216) is an entry level course into the hospitality industry.

Employment pathways from this qualification can include Bar Useful, Food Runner, Glass Runner, Housekeeping Assistant, Kitchen Steward or Kitchen Useful.
