COURSE DETAILS

This qualification applies to a learning and assessment environment where access to structured on-the-job learning in a workplace may not be available. This qualification is only for delivery in learning institutions.

The qualification is intended for people interested in exposure to an engineering or related working environment with a view to entering into employment in that area. This qualification will equip graduates with knowledge and skills which will enhance their prospects of employment in an engineering or related working environment.

COURSE DELIVERY

This course is delivered face-to-face and includes a blend of theory and practical assessments.

Cohort - Vocational Education and Training in Schools (VETiS)

Face-to-face training is delivered one day per week (2.5 hours per day) for 4 school terms, this program also includes two days excursion as part of the project.

It is suggested that students do 12 hours of independent study per week (over 12 months).

Certificate II in Engineering Pathways (MEM20413) is an introductory course to the engineering industry.

Career pathways from this qualification can include apprenticeship options to the broader industry. Employment pathways from an apprenticeship may lead to occupational trade related fields such as - Boiler Maker, Diesel Fitter, Fitter & Turner, Fitter Machinist, Welder etc.
